The Planet of the Vapes ONE Review - Vapor that won’t disappoint
The ONE uses a hybrid heating design for quick, strong sessions on the go. The stainless steel heater sits below the herbs, never touching them, for tasty hits at the beginning of a session that give way to strong clouds. You can certainly find a better tasting vape out there, like the Solo 2 with its glass stem, but nothing this small or affordable. The POTV ONE also works well for concentrate sessions, using the included stainless steel mesh pad.
Ultra-portable size
The ONE isn’t just small - it’s one of the smallest vapes we carry. At three inches tall, two inches wide and only one inch deep, it plays well with your other pocketable items. It can be concealed in an average-sized fist when you need to be stealthy, without sacrificing features or strong sessions. Best of all, it doesn’t perform like a small vape. Every millimeter feels like it’s been put to good use, and you’ll be impressed with the vapor and battery life you get out of something this small.
Good enough battery life
Battery life is good for a vaporizer this size, which sports a 1600mAh internal LiPo battery. Most vaporizers in this size class sacrifice battery life to get there, but the ONE can squeeze out between six and eight sessions, or 30 to 40 minutes of run-time, on a single 90-minute charge. Sessions on the ONE have a four-minute timer to preserve battery life, which is about as short as it can go and still fully cook your herbs. If you need better battery life and want to stay in this size range, look into a vaporizer with removable batteries, like Arizer’s larger ArGo, or DaVinci’s smaller MIQRO.

Fast heat up time
The ONE reaches temperature in thirty seconds on average, which is pretty standard for today’s portable vaporizers. That’s quick enough for a full session anywhere, or you can turn it off after a quick hit or two and come back for more later. The ONE heats up fast enough that we decided to add vibration feedback when it reaches temperature so you don’t miss it -- go ahead, get distracted!
Easy controls with all the features
Controlling the ONE is easy to figure out, even if you don’t like to read instructions. Three clicks of the big button turns it on and off, and the little buttons adjust the temperature. Hold both buttons together to toggle the temperature between Celsius and Fahrenheit, as well as flip the display. That’s right, not only did we add vibration feedback, but the ONE also lets you flip the display for those times when you hold it upside down.
Small bowl size
The ONE’s bowl is on the small size, with a capacity ranging from 0.10 to 0.15 grams, depending on your grind and pack. It’s the perfect size when you’re on your own, but won’t power much of a group session. Heavy users might need two bowls with the POTV ONE, compared to one session with a vaporizer like the Boundless CF, which has one of the bigger bowls on the market.
That new mouthpiece!
If you love glass mouthpieces, or like using your vaporizers with glass, the ONE has you covered with the included Accessory Attachment. It comes standard with a glass mouthpiece that is hot-swappable for a bent mouthpiece, water pipe adapter, or even a bubbler, all sold separately. Best of all, this design lets you add glass without shrinking the bowl size, unlike the more limited options currently available for other models of this vape.

The ONE also comes with a mesh mouthpiece screen instead of the original stamped metal screen. This little change makes a big difference, opening up the air flow with a screen that doesn’t clog as much, or need as many deep cleanings.

The ONE only weighs five ounces, but feels solid due to its small size, and metal outer shell with soft-touch coating. The ONE has a robust, stainless steel heater and a responsive, titanium heating chamber that won’t crack or break like ceramic chambers. If you enjoy the purity of glass, or like filtering your vapor through water, the included Accessory Attachment brings all of that into play for you, as well.

The ONE’s hybrid heating system is pretty forgiving when it comes to how you use it. We got good results with partial or full loads, as well as fine or coarse grinds (even unground herbs). It also works well with short or long draws, so take the time to find your favorite method. Just make sure not to pack it tightly like you would a conduction vaporizer - the ONE needs the air to flow through your herbs.
Maintenance
Cleaning the ONE is straightforward, and requires nothing more than some isopropyl alcohol and alcohol wipes. Our full cleaning guide will walk you through the details, but we should mention here not to soak any of the mouthpieces in alcohol. Also, don’t try to remove the black o-rings inside the Accessory Attachment, they don’t come out and you’ll ruin them if you try.
Who’s the ONE not for?
Heavy users will take issue with the short battery life and undersized bowl. The battery will get you through the night, but not all day, as you vape two bowls at a time until it runs out. Vapor connoisseurs can save up for something more expensive with a little better taste, like the Crafty.
