DaVinci surprised a couple days ago with the release of the IQ2. At first glance, it could appear to be a simple update, but a deeper look reveals a lot more. This sequel has been completely overhauled.

Dosage controls
Arguably the most intriguing addition is the “Fill Your Own - Know Your Dose” calculation. For years, dosage tracking has only been possible with special extract pod systems, but DaVinci brings it to dry herbs you can load yourself. Enter your herb’s potency and load size, and the DaVinci IQ2 will do all the math. It will even let you know if you’ve hit your pre-set limit. Best of all, you can do all this without the smartphone app.
DaVinci’s first dual use vape
DaVinci has always taken an herb-only approach to vaporizing, but their fourth release introduces some new accessories made just for extracts. The IQ2 comes with pads and a ceramic pod, and a container to hold it. Most extract pods for conduction vaporizers have underwhelmed us, but this one looks different.
Easier to clean
Compared to the original IQ, the IQ2 is easier to clean. DaVinci’s design changes to the MIQRO appear to be incorporated here, as well. The Flavor Chamber is slimmed down, and the stubborn spot just below the oven has been redesigned.
Innovative adjustable air flow
There’s a new air flow adjustment ring at the bottom of the DaVinci IQ2, called the Air Dial. It has four settings that expand the air flow from 40% less, to 67% more air flow than the original DaVinci IQ. Increase it for cooler, thinner vapor, and decrease it for thicker vapor. Sweet!
Other upgrades
The IQ2 has a brushed aluminum shell, and is 9% larger than the original, in part to make way for a stronger, better insulated oven with more flavorful vapor. The Pearl spacer is easier to adjust, and extends 30% further into the oven for satisfying vapor from even smaller loads.
We’re ready for it
DaVinci has a solid track record of introducing new features and innovating tech to their vapes, and the IQ2 looks to follow suit. It’s not just an upgrade - the entire vape has been retooled, with a barely larger footprint. DaVinci’s releases always have something new to offer, and we can’t wait to see how these latest features play out.
